Lynn Hamilton Assistant Professor, General Faculty Office phone: 434-924-6484 Education: M.F.A., Creative Writing, University of Virginia Areas of Expertise: Professor Hamilton teaches management communication, specifically business writing, communication strategy, and presentation skills. Her interests include investor and media relations, communication risks, leadership communication, and corporate storytelling. She teaches management communication as well as the topic of global social enterprises in the School's ICE program. She also teaches the "Advanced Managerial Communication" elective and teaches in the School's M.S. in MIT Program, Ernst & Young Your Master Plan Program, and M.S. in Commerce Program. Professional Activities: Professor Hamilton has worked as a newspaper reporter and editor, a
freelance writer and editor, and a corporate planner for a bank holding
company and has taught news magazine writing and creative writing in the
English Department at the University of Virginia. She is co-author of
Living with Stress, published by Penguin Books. Her fiction and nonfiction have appeared in magazines and small journals. |
